Overview

Kedarnath, home to one of the twelve sacred Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, sits at an altitude of over 3,500 metres surrounded by snow-clad Himalayan peaks. This 4-night, 5-day package takes you from Haridwar through the winding mountain roads of Garhwal to Gaurikund, the base point, and onward on foot (or by pony/palki, arranged separately) to the temple itself.

The journey passes through several important towns along the pilgrim route including Rudraprayag and Guptkashi, both steeped in mythology and offering their own smaller shrines worth a stop. The trek to Kedarnath from Gaurikund is approximately 16-18 km and can be covered on foot, by pony, or by helicopter (helicopter tickets to be booked separately based on availability and weather).

This package is best suited to pilgrims who are reasonably fit for a Himalayan trek, or those planning to use pony/palki/helicopter services at Gaurikund. Warm clothing, comfortable trekking shoes and a positive mindset for high-altitude weather changes are strongly recommended. Our team will guide you on the ground regarding permits, weather updates and pony/palki arrangements at the base.

Cancellation 15 to 29 days before departure: 50% charged

Cancellation less than 15 days before departure: 100% charged

Kedarnath yatra is weather dependent; the company is not responsible for closures due to weather, landslides or government restrictions

Itinerary

Pickup from Haridwar railway station early morning and drive towards Guptkashi via Rudraprayag, a scenic route that follows the Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers. En route, stop for darshan at small wayside temples. Check into the hotel at Guptkashi and rest for the night.
