Overview

The Char Dham Yatra is one of the most significant pilgrimages in Hinduism, covering four sacred shrines in the Garhwal Himalaya - Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath. This 8-night, 9-day package is designed to cover the complete circuit from Haridwar in a comfortable and well-paced manner, respecting both the religious significance and the physical demands of high-altitude travel.

The journey begins with Yamunotri, the source of the Yamuna river, followed by Gangotri, the origin of the holy Ganga. From there, the route moves to Kedarnath, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, and finally to Badrinath, dedicated to Lord Vishnu and considered one of the four Char Dhams of India (distinct from the Chota Char Dham of Uttarakhand, though both circuits share their name).

Given the altitude and terrain involved, both Yamunotri and Kedarnath require a trek or pony/palki ride from their respective base points, while Gangotri and Badrinath are accessible directly by road. Our itinerary builds in adequate rest days and overnight stops at lower altitudes to help with acclimatisation, and our drivers are experienced with the hill roads and weather patterns of the Garhwal region.

This package is recommended for pilgrims in reasonably good health; those with medical conditions related to altitude, heart or breathing should consult a doctor before undertaking the yatra. Warm clothing for all four dhams (which can be cold even in summer) is strongly advised.

The Char Dham Yatra is weather and government-permit dependent; the company is not liable for closures due to weather, landslides or administrative restrictions

Itinerary

Early morning pickup from Haridwar and drive towards Barkot, the base for Yamunotri, via Mussoorie and the scenic Yamuna valley. Check in and rest for the night.
